Victoria Riverside is a brand new residential development in Manchester city centre comprised of 225 one-bedroom, 346 two-bedroom and 53 three-bedroom apartments alongside 10 three-bedroom houses and retail units with associated landscaping, access and parking.
The drywall contractor for the project, AC1 Construction, were delighted to propose Specwall A2 panels to replace the block work walls on this scheme. Not only did this increase their scope of works on this project, but it also provided the developer, CR Construction (UK) Co Ltd, with a product that reduced the installation period by a considerable amount of time. A1 fire rated panels were chosen for the risers as an alternative to blockwork.
These are major benefits for any construction project and they have proven to be so for Victoria Riverside as it continues to take shape and progress.
“Specwall was chosen for the internal walling system on Victoria Riverside in place of various internal walls on the scheme. Most notably, the A1 fire rated Specwall system, chosen for its high fire performance, has allowed risers to commence on site as a quicker and cleaner alternative to standard blockwork.”
